Eligibility for Bachelor of Physiotherapy(B.P.T)

Qualifying Examination

A Candidate seeking admission to first year Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT):

  • Should have passed two year Pre University examination conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics,Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English,Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.
  • Or

  • Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by State Government/Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two year Pre University Examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/ Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English,Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.
  • Or

  • Candidates who have completed Pre-university course with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for admission to BPT course.

Eligibility for B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc M.L.T)

  • A candidate seeking admission to the BSc. MLT shall have studied English as one of the principal subject during the tenure of the course and shall have passed: Two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
  • Or

  • Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by RGUHS, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
  • Or

  • Any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
  • Or

  • The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University Course.
  • Or

  • Candidates with two years diploma from a recognized Government Board in MLT shall have passed class 12 [10+2] with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as subjects or candidates with 3 years diploma from a recognized Government Board in MLT should have studied Physics, Biology and Chemistry as subjects during the tenure of the course.
  • Lateral entry to second year of B.Sc. MLT for candidates who have passed diploma program from the Government Boards and recognized by RGUHS, fulfilling the conditions specified above under Sl. No. 5 and these students are eligible to take admission on lateral entry system only in the same subject studied at diploma level from the academic year 2008-09 vide RGUHS Notification no. AUTH/AHS/317/2008-09 dated: 01.08.2008.

Eligibility for B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology (B.Sc M.I.T)

  • A candidate seeking admission to the BSc. Medical Imaging Technology shall have studied English as one of the principal subject during the tenure of the course and shall have passed: 1. Two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
  • Or

  • Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by RGUHS, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study. OR 3. Any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
  • Or

Eligibility for Master of Hospital Administration (M.H.A)

  • Graduates with aggregate 50% marks in any discipline from any recognized university, in any country.The Masters in Hospital Administration is designed to : To develop managers who are quality oriented, sensitive to the needs of the patients as well as the community, cost conscious so that affordable treatment to common people can be provided.
